William Ajax (otherwise Morgan) on 29 March 1783 at 4 o'clock in the morning in the parish of Llanddewibrefi assaulted Martha David by fastening a woollen neckcloth (value 1d) round her neck and choking and strangling her so that she instantly died (WALES 4/902/3). Execution ordered for 21st April.
