Morris Simon, tinker, on 6 November 1734 in the parish of Llangeler assaulted William John with a staff or cudgel striking him on the left of the head giving him a mortal wound whereof he languished for 4 hours and then died: ALSO that he robbed William John of 2 gold moidores (value 27/-) (WALES 4/735/4).
