Joal Goss (aged about 20) guilty of stealing a black mare (valued at £4), the property of Philip Walker. In the Exeter Flying Post he is said to have been born in Chorley in the parish of Chudleigh and to have been found guilty of stealing a purse and 7/- from William Tucker and breaking into the dwelling house of Robert Strong of Kinnerly (Kennerleigh).
