John Wilshere (otherwise William Wilshire, otherwise William Crowder) found guilty on an indictment for the highway robbery of Humphrey Howarth in the parish of Woodford on 18th April 1793: robbing him a silk purse (value at 1/-), £38 in money numbered, 2 Promissory Notes for £100 and £50 and 11 bank Notes - one for £100, 2 for £50, 3 for £20 and 5 for £10.
