John Phillips, aged 30,            John Wheeler, aged 23, and Jacob Ludlow, aged 27, found guilty on an indictment for the highway robbery of Edward Thomas Carder in the parish of Barking on 14th May 1787: robbing him of a metal watch (valued at 50/-), a watch key (valued at 1d). a canvas bag (valued at 1d) and 2 gold guineas.
