Daniel Ginger found guilty of the murder of James Nutkins in the parish of Shenley on 5th July 1760. Ginger was driving a gelding, drawing a car. He knocked Nutkins down, then ran over his head and breast and broke his leg. Nutkins died on 25th August of the wounds received. Ginger was ordered to be executed on Monday 9 March. This was respited till the Wednesday and afterwards his body to be hanged in chains in the most open and convenient place near to where the fact was committed.
