John Williams found guilty of stealing 3 gold rings (valued at 30/-). A silver pocket piece (valued at 1/-), 4 Portuguese gold coins (valued at 36/- each), 25 gold guineas and £1.17.6 in money numbered, in the dwelling house of John Reynolds in the parish of Bishops Stortford on 5th February 1754.  It is not clear if he is the same John Williams found guilty of horse theft at the same assizes and later reprieved.
