Peter Patterson, of Shilvington, guilty of High treason - being concerned in a riot at Morpeth on 2^nd March 1761, at which, according to the indictment, upwards of 500 were involved going about “arrayed in warlike manner with pistols, swords, scythes, staves and clubs.”
