Peter Patterson, of Shilvington, guilty of High treason - being concerned in a riot at Morpeth on 2nd March 1761, at which, according to the indictment, upwards of 500 were involved going about “arrayed in warlike manner with pistols, swords, scythes, staves and clubs.”
