James Carpenter guilty of a burglary in the dwelling house of Benjamin Parsons in the parish of Dorchester on 26th May 1797: stealing therefrom a silver cream jug (valued at 10/-), 12 silver teaspoons (valued at 15/-),  silver sugar tongs (valued at 5/-), 2 silver tablespoons (valued at 10/-), a silver Punch ladle (valued at 7/-), 2 plated pepper castors (valued at 3/-), a pair of pistols (valued at 10/-),a pair of plated shoe buckles (valued at 1/-) and a cloth surtout coat (valued at 15/-).
