Richard Gardner (aged c 30) guilty of a burglary in the dwelling house of William Selliman in the parish of Witney on 27th December 1771: stealing therefrom 3 silver tablespoons (valued at 20/-), 10 silver teaspoons (valued at 15/-), a pair of silver sugar tongs (valued at 3/-), a tea chest (valued at 3/-), 3 tin canisters (valued at 1/-), a silver stock buckle (valued at 5/-), 10 pounds of bacon (valued at 3/-) and 130 copper halfpennies.
