Philip Davy found guilty on an indictment for the highway robbery of James Furnish in the parish of Lindfield on 13th May 1790:  robbing him of a silver watch (valued at 50/-), a steel watch chain (valued at 1/-), a steel seal (valued at 1d), a canvas bag (valued at 1d), a cloth coat (valued at 5/-), a pair of cotton stockings (valued at 6d), 2 iron knee buckles plated with silver (valued at 3d)a pair of leather gloves (valued at 6d) and  a handkerchief (valued at 1/-).
