Ann Cruttendon found guilty on an indictment for the murder of her husband, Joseph Cruttendon, by stabbing him in the right side of the neck with a knife in the parish of Brightling on 15th June 1776. She was ordered to be drawn to the place of execution and burned on Thursday 8 August.
