Benjamin Tapner, John Cobby, John Hammond, William Carter, Richard Mills the elder and Richard Mills the younger (father and son) found guilty on an indictment for the murder of William Galley; and another for the murder of Daniel Chater.  After execution the body of Carter was hanged in chains near Rake; that of Tapner on Rook’s Hill near Chichester; and those of Cobby and Hammond on the beach at Celsey Isle

The bodies of the two Mills and that of the dead Jackson were buried near the gallows.
