Thomas Spencer and Mark Saltonstall (or Tattonstall) guilty of the highway robbery of John Anderson in Halifax on 7th June 1783: robbing him of 67 bushels of Oat Shelling (valued at £29); and stealing a similar quantity from his shop at the same time.  They were two of a group of rioters who that day forced the owners of corn and malt to sell the same at a low price.
