John Thomas Dunn murdered his wife Ada Elizabeth Dunn 44 by strangling her at 2 Lumsdons Buildings, Sacriston on 24 September 1927.
He strangled her after she refused to come back to him. He then tried to make it look like she committed suicide and that he had found her body the following morning.
