John Clare for a burglary.

When near the gallows John Clare leapt from the cart.  The crowd made way for him and he rolled down into the Dee.  There, because of the weight of his chains, he sank and drowned.  When his body was recovered it was hung between Thompson and Morgan, who had been kept in the cart meanwhile.  This was the last hanging at Boughton.
