Convicted of the murder of his wife Kate, and son Heseltine, whom he stabbed to death between 21 May and 8 June, and then buried their bodies on the Yorkshire Moors. He never attempted to cover his tracks and confessed when arrested at Birmingham on 22 June. Hanged by James Billington.
