Ping Lun was convicted of the murder of John Golaing 29 and sentenced to death.

He shot him at a boarding house at 22a Frederick Street, Liverpool on 20 March 1904 during a game of dominoes.

Ping Lun was Chinese.

John Golaing was the proprietor of a Chinese laundry at Rock Ferry.

John Golaing had been the banker for the game and had refused to allow Ping Lun to join. Ping Lun then fired two shots at John Golaing with a revolver who died three days later in the Northern Hospital.
