Sentenced to death by Mr Justice Denman, at Kent Assizes, for the murder of his wife Julia, at Gravesend. She had left him and taken their two sons, and in a jealous rage, he beat her head in. There was a very moving scene when he was visited in the condemned cell by his two sons. Hanged by Berry.
