William Crowche was convicted of three incidents of grand larceny.
He was from Tolleshunt Knights and was a husbandman.
On 27 November 1558 at Birch he stole 17 sheep (40s.) from Robert Wade, 8 sheep (20s.) from Nicholas Cowey, 6 sheep (16s.) from an unknown woman, 3 sheep (6s. 8d.) from Thomas Osborne and 2 sheep (3s. 4d.) from William Symnell.
On 22 November 1558 at Little Totham he stole 4 sheep (10s.) from Thomas Skarlett and 5 sheep (12s.) from John Carnell.
On 9 December 1558 he broke into the close of Thomas Boone at Rettendon and stole 26 sheep (£4 6s. 8d.)
He was sentenced to hang but hanging not confirmed.
